An illegally-set trap that killed a dog in Auburn, NH.
AUBURN, N.H. (AP) — A Manchester, N.H., man has been charged with illegally setting a hunting trap that accidentally killed a dog.

Andrew, a mixed breed dog, was killed by a hunting trap in Auburn, NH.
The state Fish and Game Department on Thursday brought charges against George Klardie, whom officials say has been cooperative and remorseful throughout the investigation.
Melissa Fogelson of Londonderry was walking her golden retriever on a popular trail in Auburn Dec. 5 when the dog got caught in a body-gripping trap and died. Fish and Game says Klardie, who was charged with numerous violations, admitted setting the trap and expects to be held accountable for his actions.
He will be arraigned in February at the Candia Circuit Court.
