FOXBORO (CBS) – The New England Patriots have announced that wide receiver Donte’ Stallworth has been placed on injured reserve with an ankle injury.
Stallworth was released by the Patriots after training camp but they re-signed him last week when Julian Edelman was placed on IR with a foot injury.
Stallworth and Brady connected on 63-yard touchdown in the Patriots’ 42-14 win over the Houston Texans Monday night. Stallworth said the play was one they had worked on last week in practice, and as far back as training camp.
The team will reportedly bring back receiver Deion Branch, who was released in mid-November. Branch had nine receptions for 80 yards in seven games for New England.

The Patriots also announced Tuesday night that TE Visanthe Shiancoe has been released and OL Tommie Draheim has been released from the practice squad.
