BOSTON (CBS) – Legendary jazz pianist and composer Dave Brubeck died this week, at age 91 in Norwalk, Conn.
Brubeck was a jazz pioneer, known for pieces like “Take 5.’ He died a day before his 92nd birthday. Brubeck was the first modern jazz musician, to be pictured on the cover of Time magazine back in 1954.
Grammy winning cellist Eugene Friesen, now a professor at Berklee, worked with Dave Brubeck.
