WALTHAM (CBS) – About 250 students, faculty and staff members at Brandeis University in Waltham will have to be tested for Tuberculosis after doctors diagnosed a student at the school with the illness.
Health officials want to make sure other people weren’t exposed.
Brandeis administrators say the infected student is responding well to treatment, and there is little risk of TB spreading on campus.
Tuberculosis is a contagious bacterial infection that involves the lungs, but may spread to other organs.
