Democrat Elizabeth Warren addresses supporters after winning Senate race
BOSTON (AP) — Massachusetts Sen.-elect Elizabeth Warren is launching a tour of the state as she prepares to take her seat in the U.S. Senate.
Warren said she wants to thank those who supported her and “open the door” to everyone in the state, regardless of how they voted.
The Democrat said she intends to keep her campaign pledge to help put people get back to work, level the playing field for small businesses and make sure middle class families get a fair shot.
Warren plans two stops for Saturday — including a 1 p.m. appearance at Theodore’s Restaurant in Springfield and a 3:30 p.m. appearance at Teamster’s Local 170 in Worcester.
On Sunday, she’ll be at the Eagle’s Event Center in Fall River at 5:30 p.m.
Warren said other events around the state will be announced soon.
