NORFOLK (CBS) – An anonymous person has donated $1,400 to a dog who needs surgery.
Iara, a six-year-old terrier, was recovered two weeks ago when her owner was arrested. She needs bladder surgery to remove kidney stones.
The Norfolk Animal Control Department asked for donations on Tuesday. Animal Control Officer Hilary Cohen tells The Sun Chronicle that the donation was made anonymously on Wednesday.
The costs associated with the surgery are estimated to be between $1400 – $1800. After the operation, Iara will be up for adoption.
