WESTON (CBS) - Buying a home around Boston is not cheap but you may not realize just how expensive it can be.
Coldwell Banker Real Estate has a new national survey and it shows Massachusetts is the second most expensive state to buy a four-bedroom, two-bathroom home.
Hawaii is number one.
When it comes to most expensive communities nationwide, Weston ranks 14th on the list. The average price of a four-bedroom, two-bathroom home there is $1.1 million.
WBZ NewsRadio 1030′s Mark Katic reports
“We knew we were moving into a really nice community with great schools and we were willing to pay for that,” a Weston resident told WBZ NewsRadio 1030′s Mark Katic.
By the way, Coldwell’s survey says you could get that same size home in Redford, Michigan for just over $60,000.
