Brighter Skies Ahead

A few coastal flurries and showers are skirting the South Coast, Cape Cod and the Islands.  Watch out for icy spots on untreated roads and sidewalks this morning since many areas away from the coast have dropped below freezing. Away from the coast, the precipitation has already shut off.  There will a gradual clearing process from west to east throughout the day.  A weak shortwave will sweep across Northern New England later today which may induce a few snow showers. Highs will be near 40F this afternoon.  Tonight, take a glimpse at the Full 'Beaver' moon (as of 9:47am this morning).

Thursday will be mostly sunny and breezy. High temps will be around 40F once again.

A second weak cold front will head across our region on Thursday night.  This will be nearly unnoticeable besides a few extra clouds in the sky.

Friday will involve a great deal of sunshine with highs on the cooler side...middle to upper 30s.

This weekend will be rather quiet as well.  Saturday, the 1st of December '12,  will be mostly cloudy with a rebounding warm front providing the chance of a few snowflakes and/or raindrops.  Sunday will be a bright day with a cold front nearing during the evening hours.  Afternoon highs will top off in the lower 50s!   There will be a chance of rain on Sunday night due to this frontal passage.

Conditions will improve on Monday with increasing sunshine and highs near 50F.

Night sky observers, here are the details to this week's night sky.
