Farm Animals Found Neglected On Abandoned NH Farm
LITTLETON, NH (CBS) - Dozens of horses, llamas, and other neglected animals were found on an abandoned New Hampshire farm after reports from Littleton residents.
The animals could reportedly be seen from the road, and appeared to be emaciated and in distress.
Most were left standing in up to eight inches of mulch and manure, causing their legs to swell.
The Department for Agricultural Animals found the animals after investigating the residents' complaints. The animals were apparently left abandoned after a deal to buy the farm where they were fell through.
The animals are now being cared for by volunteers until they can find new homes.
