A fire in Lowell has forced more than 20 families out of their homes.

LOWELL (CBS) – Fire damaged two Lowell apartment buildings and left 21 people homeless, including eight children.

Flames spread through the buildings on Bridge Street early Saturday morning.

Everyone managed to safely escape.

This is one of six fires in the area over the past six months, and officials are hoping to interview a person of interest on Monday.
