BOSTON (CBS) – An alleged office romance at Faulkner Hospital has led to a long-time doctor losing his job.
Cardiology Dr. Gary Brockington had his license revoked after having a brief affair with a patient — who was also a co-worker, the Board Of Registration In Medicine reported Friday.
Dr. Brockington was told by Board that it has zero tolerance for sexual misconduct between doctors and patients.
He has been given until December 11 to shut down his practice.
Brockington’s lawyer plans to appeal the decision to the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court.
According to the Board, Dr. Brockington is a 1984 graduate of Tufts University School of Medicine. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease, and has been licensed to practice in Massachusetts since 1988.
