BOSTON (CBS) — It was already known that tight end Rob Gronkowski will miss this week’s Patriots game (and several thereafter), but two big names were also listed as out for Thursday night’s trip to New York.
Defensive end Chandler Jones (ankle) and left guard Logan Mankins (ankle/calf) will not play for New England on Thanksgiving night.
Jones, a Defensive Rookie Of The Year candidate, left last week’s game with an ankle injury and did not return.
Mankins, meanwhile, has missed four games (at Buffalo, vs. Jets, vs. Rams in London and vs. Indianapolis last week) already this season.
The Patriots also listed 13 players as questionable for the game, including Wes Welker (ankle), Brandon Lloyd (knee), Aaron Hernandez (ankle), Dont’a Hightower (hamstring), and Brandon Spikes (knee).
Julian Edelman (hand), Kyle Love (knee) and Jerod Mayo (elbow) were all listed as probable.
