Report: Hunter Signs 2-Year Deal With Tigers

BOSTON (CBS) - It doesn't look like free agent Torii Hunter will be roaming the Fenway outfield next season, at least not as a member of the Boston Red Sox.

According to ESPN, Hunter and the Detroit Tigers have agreed to a two-year, $26 million deal. The deal is currently pending a physical.

Hunter, who spent the last five seasons with the Angels, is expected to play right field for Detroit.

The Red Sox were said to be among the teams interested in Hunter, with DH David Ortiz attempted to recruit his former teammate in Minnesota.

Hunter, who has won nine Gold Gloves over his 15-year career, hit .313 with 16 home runs and 92 RBI for the Angels last season.
