Lynn Convenience Store Clerk Pistol Whipped During Robbery, Fights Back

LYNN (CBS) - Police say the clerk of D&M Mart Store was pistol whipped during a robbery but he fought back.

Around 8 p.m. Friday, two men entered the store and pointed a gun at the clerk. The men are seen on the store's security cameras going around the counter and fighting with the clerk.

The clerk grabbed the mask of one of the suspects and tore it off. The other suspect stepped in and pistol whipped the clerk and pushed him to the ground.

As the clerk struggled with one of the suspects, the other opened up his backpack with the intention of cleaning out the register but the clerk got up and pushed the men away from the register. At the same time, a customer walked into the store, saw what was going on and ran away.
