BOSTON (CBS) – A new restaurant has opened up in an old bathroom on Boston Common.
Robert Earl, founder of Earl Of Sandwich, thanked supporters at a ribbon cutting Monday morning.
WBZ NewsRadio 1030′s Carl Stevens reports
Antonia Pollock, head of the city’s parks and recreation department said she hopes the new sandwich shop adds life to the Common.
“It hadn’t been used since the 70′s and we wanted to find a way to reuse it and add some vitality to the park,” Pollack said.
The idea came after some city councilors traveled to New York to see what made their parks so vital and full of life.
One answer they came up with was a restaurant.
