Mark Silvia was arrested after Police say he assaulted a pregnant woman at a hotel in Tewksbury.
TEWKSBURY (CBS) – A domestic disturbance last week brought Tewksbury police to a disturbing scene at the Motel Caswell.
Mark Silvia, 26, of Boston was separated from a female victim who has not been identified. It was clear that the woman had been assaulted, and she was brought to a local hospital for treatment.
Police say that Silvia had held the victim as a hostage for over two and a half hours.
During that time, he allegedly slapped her in the face and threw her against a wall, the latter causing her to fall and strike her head on a table.
Police also said that the victim is four months pregnant.
Silvia is being charged with assault and battery and kidnapping, among other charges.
