BRAINTREE (CBS) – A 26-year-old Hanover man was killed in a crash Friday evening on Route 3 in Braintree.

State Police say Jeffrey Prouty was heading southbound during rush hour when, for some reason, he lost control and went off the shoulder of the roadway.

Prouty was rushed to South Shore Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
