PEMBROKE (CBS) – The Lottery’s newest scratch ticket game is only a week old and already the big prize is gone.
John Mancuso won $2.5 million in the “Winter Green” scratch ticket game.
WBZ NewsRadio 1030′s Mark Katic reports
Mancuso stopped into Xtra Mart on Route 53 on his way to work last Friday, something he does every morning.
But this time, the stop paid off.
Xtra Mart Manager Fred Howard said a few minutes later, Mancuso came back in the store, showed him the ticket and gave him a hug.
Howard told WBZ NewsRadio 1030′s Mark Katic that Mancuso told him he will restock his 401K and put the rest of the money toward his kids’ college funds.
The latest winning ticket is nothing new for Xtra Mart. The store sold a winning ticket worth $1 million last year.
