Framingham Building Commissioner Resigns After I-Team Investigation

FRAMINGHAM (CBS) – The Framingham building inspector is resigning a year after he was placed on paid leave in the wake of an I-Team investigation.

Michael Foley was placed on leave last November after the I-Team presented allegations of possible fraud and questionable work habits to town leaders.

The I-Team presented evidence that Foley produced fraudulent expense reports, and gave huge discounts on expensive building permits.

Framingham Town Manager Robert Halpin says Foley's resignation is effective Friday morning.

The Middlesex District Attorney's office continues to investigate.
