SHREWSBURY (CBS) – It’s the time of year people and businesses give back to those in need.
One thousand frozen turkeys were delivered to Worcester Food Bank from Stop & Shop Thursday morning.
WBZ NewsRadio 1030′s Karen Twomey reports
Stop & Shop will also deliver turkeys to food banks in Boston, Rhode Island and Connecticut.
“Obviously we’re in the food business and at this time of year, working with our customers to raise funds to feed the hungry is one of our main objectives,” Stop & Shop District Manager Tom Marshall told WBZ NewsRadio 1030′s Karen Twomey.
The Worcester Food Pantry serves 150 other food pantries and kitchens in the region.
