Police Looking For Suspects In Two Roxbury Assaults

BOSTON (CBS) - Police are warning residents to be alert after two indecent assault incidents were reported in lower Roxbury.

Police say on Monday, a 17-year-old girl, walking on Camden Street was approached by a man who grabbed her by the neck. The girl wrestled him and screamed before escaping. The man fled the area.

Then on Tuesday at 7:25 p.m., another teenage girl was walking near Camden Street when a man approached her from behind and said he had a gun. The man tried to drag the girl to a secluded area but she escaped.

The suspect in the first attack is described as a Hispanic man in his late teens, 5'7" and stocky. The suspect is described as having a medium complexion with a flat nose and a "baby face."

The suspect in the second attack is described as a black, non-Hispanic man around 25-years-old who spoke with a Haitian accent. He is described as being 5'6" with a medium build, wearing a brown top and light blue jeans.

In both incidents, the man commented on the physical appearance of the girls before or during the attack.

Police say the two incidents may be related.
