2-Alarm Charlestown Fire Sends Firefighter And Woman To Hospital

BOSTON (CBS) - A firefighter and a woman were taken to the hospital after being injured in a two-alarm fire Wednesday afternoon.

Around noon, fire broke out at 7 Phipps Street in Charlestown on the first floor of a "garden-style" apartment.

Boston Police said one woman was taken to the hospital with burns. A firefighter was also taken to the hospital with a facial cut. Police have not released the condition of either victim or their identities.

Fire investigators on scene said they believe there is $75,000 worth of damage to the building. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
