MANCHESTER, NH (CBS) – In the tight race for New Hampshire’s next governor, the two candidates had multiple campaign stops across southern New Hampshire Monday.
Democrat Maggie Hassan spoke at a rally inside a Nashua restaurant.
“He would really move us backward,” Hassan said of her opponent Republican Ovide Lamontagne.
Lamontagne, while visiting workers at SilverTech in Manchester, told WBZ-TV that Hassan has a liberal tax and spend agenda.
“That’s her record, it’s a failed record,” said Lamontagne.
The two are locked in a dead heat, according to the final poll released Monday morning by New England College.
The poll shows Hassan at 47% and Lamontagne at 45%. The undecided tally stands at 7%. The margin or error is 4.1%
