The Patriots are on their bye week, but there are still a few things to discuss.
Jeff Howe covers the Patriots for the Boston Herald and he joined Toucher & Rich to discuss Sterling Moore, the NFL trade deadline and Tim Tebow.
On Wednesday the Patriots made the decision to waive second-year cornerback Sterling Moore. Why would the Patriots be willing to lose a durable player like Moore?
“The one thing that I think could make sense is if that knee injury that’s bothered him for a good portion of the season was kind of a little too much. I mean if this was like an extended DL stint almost I mean that would make sense, but otherwise I can’t really figure out why this would happen.”
Thursday is the trade deadline and the guys wonder if there’s a chance that the Patriots make any moves. Howe doesn’t think so and believes if they do it would be a small one.
“If they do it’s going to be something minor and historically we get into the fact that big trades very rarely happen in the NFL.”
Plus the guys discuss the possibility of Tim Tebow getting moved from the Jets?
