NATICK (CBS) – On Thursday night, WBZ-TV anchor Jack Williams received the Broadcaster of the Year award from the Massachusetts Broadcasters Association.

Between TV and radio, Jack has been on the air since he was in high school. He has had his signature booming voice since he was a teenager.

Jack has received four Emmy Awards and has been recognized for his commitment to the community and for his work on behalf of his weekly news series “Wednesday’s Child,” which he created in 1981.

Earlier this year, Jack was given the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) and was inducted into the Massachusetts Broadcasters Hall of Fame.

Jack anchors the 6PM news on WBZ-TV with Lisa Hughes.
