Boston Mayor Menino Remains Hospitalized With Virus, Blood Clot
BOSTON (CBS) - Mayor Tom Menino remains hospitalized after being diagnosed with a viral infection and a blood clot last week.
On Tuesday afternoon, Spokesperson Dot Joyce said Menino remains in the hospital recovering and was not expected to be released on Tuesday.
"The mayor is doing well and resting while still remaining engaged in post-storm activities and decisions in Boston," Joyce told WBZ.
On Sunday, Joyce said Menino was expected to be released from Brigham and Woman's hospital on Monday.
Joyce said Sunday, Menino returned from a trip to Italy and wasn't feeling well. After a series of tests, doctors determined it was a virus.
