DERRY, NH (CBS) - A registered nurse in New Hampshire has had her nurse's license suspended and is at the center of a criminal investigation after she confessed to killing her brother-in-law.

"She stated to them that she had killed her brother in law," Senior Assistant Attorney General James Boffetti said. "She said that she gave her brother-in-law approximately 300 units of insulin."

George told police she took the medicine from work by mistake, and she ended Percival's life because he "didn't need to suffer anymore."

Police did not indicate what he may have been suffering from.

The New Hampshire Board of Nursing has suspended George's license temporarily as a criminal investigation gets underway.

A hearing is set for November 2.
