Aaron Hernandez Misses Patriots' Thursday Practice

FOXBORO (CBS) -- The Patriots were without tight end Aaron Hernandez in their final practice before boarding a flight to London for Sunday's game.

The tight end did not participate in Thursday's session after being limited in practice on Wednesday. After missing three games due to an ankle injury, Hernandez has slowly been working himself back into the offense, so his absence is more likely a part of his treatment schedule than it is a sign of any setback.

Hernandez was one of six players who didn't practice Thursday, joined by Brandon Bolden (knee), Ras-I Dowling (thigh), Steve Gregory (hip), Trevor Scott (hamstring) and Tracy White (foot).

Jerod Mayo returned to the practice field after missing Wednesday's session, though he was listed as being limited with an elbow injury. Eleven other Patriots were listed as limited, including Patrick Chung (shoulder), Julian Edelman (hand), Rob Gronkowski (hip), Dont'a Hightower (hamstring), Brandon Lloyd (knee), Logan Mankins (calf/hip), Sebastian Vollmer (back/knee) and Wes Welker (ankle).
