WHITMAN (CBS) -  Police  have arrested a woman they say targeted bank branches at supermarkets in three communities.

Kerri Ann Heffernan, 31, of Bridgewater, was arrested Saturday after police questioning. Police seized a 2011 Hyundai Elantra, cash, cellphone, clothing and items covered in red dye.

Police have not recovered the firearm used in the robberies.

Heffernan will be arraigned in Brockton District Court Monday on charges of armed and masked robbery, armed assault to rob and assault with a dangerous weapon. Police say they expect additional charges.

The latest robberies happened Saturday afternoon, when police say Heffernan held up two Citizens Bank branches at Stop & Shop stores in Brockton.

There were similar robberies in Whitman on Friday and in Stoughton last month, police said.

In the Whitman theft, the woman handed the bank teller a note indicating she had a gun and demanded all the bank's money.

Police found the stolen money in a nearby parking lot, ruined from the dye pack.
