Elizabeth Warren, gay comments, Scott BrownBOSTON (CBS) – Elizabeth Warren’s campaign is apologizing for supporters’ anti-gay comments about a Scott Brown campaign aide earlier this week.
In two videos posted on YouTube that were recorded outside the debate in Springfield, Warren supporters can be heard chanting “You sound gay” at Brown staffer Ross Hemminger, who was reportedly chanting “Go Scott, Go.”
On Friday, Warren called comments unacceptable.
A Brown spokeswoman called the display appalling and said she was glad the Warren campaign has apologized.
