Police Searching For Missing UNH Student

CHESTER, N.H. (CBS) - Police are searching for a University of New Hampshire student who hasn't been seen by friends or family since Tuesday night.

Investigators say 19-year-old Elizabeth "Lizzie" Marriott sent a text message to a friend saying she was headed to a friend's house in Portsmouth around 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Since then, no one has seen or heard from her.

Those who know Marriott tell police this is out of character for her and she has never left without telling anyone where she is going in the past.

Marriott is a commuter student at the UNH and lives with relatives in Chester.

She drives a tan, 2001 Mazda Tribute.

If you know anything about her whereabouts, please call Chester Police at (603) 887-2080.
