FOXOBORO (CBS) — After missing two weeks, Julian Edelman returned to Patriots practice on Thursday.
Edelman suffered a hand injury during the Patriots’ Week 3 loss in Baltimore, heading to the locker room shortly after halftime, and he hadn’t returned to the field until Thursday.
Prior to the injury, Edelman made many headlines for his increased role in the offense. He made five catches for 50 yards in Week 2 vs. Arizona and four receptions for 28 yards and a touchdown in the Baltimore game.
Edelman’s status for Sunday’s game in Seattle is still not known, though tight end Aaron Hernandez is expected to make his return to game action after suffering an ankle injury in Week 2 vs. Arizona.
Safety Steve Gregory, tight end Michael Hoomanawanui and linebacker Tracy White were not present for practice on Thursday.
