FDA Recalls Certain Mini-Wheat Cereals After Metal Fragments Found

BOSTON (CBS) - The Food and Drug Administration is warning that some boxes of Frosted Mini-Wheats cereal may contain metal fragments.

The FDA released the recall Wednesday saying that certain boxes of the Mini-Wheats Bite Size Original and Mini-Wheats Unfrosted Bite Size cereal "have the possible presence of fragments of flexible metal mesh from a faulty manufacturing part."

The FDA says only Frosted Mini-Wheats Bite Size Original and Mini-Wheats Unfrosted Bite Size with the letters KB, AP or FK before or after the expiration date have the potential to contain the metal fragments.

Products impacted are listed on the FDA Website.
