BOSTON (CBS) – New England Patriots linebacker Brandon Spikes delivered a number of bone-crushing hits last Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, and one of them cost him.

Spikes was fined $21,000 by the NFL on Friday for an illegal blindside block on Bills tight end Scott Chandler following an interception by Pats corner Devin McCourty. Spikes launched himself into Chandler, who was looking away at the time.

There was no flag on the play, but Chandler left the game with a concussion.
