SALEM (CBS) – Halloween isn’t until the end of the month but in Salem, the celebration starts the first of the month.
WBZ NewsRadio 1030′s Carl Stevens reports
October 1, marks the start of “Haunted Happenings” in the city, a 31-day Mardi-Gras-like party featuring a parade, costume contests and psychic fairs.
The first event of Haunted Happenings is the Annual Haunted Happenings Grand Parade at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4.
The celebration concludes on Halloween night with a fireworks display.
