The Countdown Is On To Halloween In Salem
SALEM (CBS) - Halloween isn't until the end of the month but in Salem, the celebration starts the first of the month.

October 1, marks the start of "Haunted Happenings" in the city, a 31-day Mardi-Gras-like party featuring a parade, costume contests and psychic fairs.
The first event of Haunted Happenings is the Annual Haunted Happenings Grand Parade at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4.
The celebration concludes on Halloween night with a fireworks display.
