Body Found In Ocean Off Marblehead

MARBLEHEAD (AP) — Massachusetts State Police say they are investigating the discovery of a body in the ocean about five miles east of Marblehead harbor.

State Police said they responded along with the Coast Guard when authorities got a report about the body at about 4:30 p.m. Monday.

Police said the victim's identity isn't known, and the state medical examiner's office in Boston is investigating.

State police said the Essex District Attorney's office is leading the investigation with help from Swampscott police and the Coast Guard.
