BROCKTON (CBS) – Police have identified the man they believe shot an eight-year-old girl in the leg in Brockton Friday night.

Police are looking for Eric M. Leach, 28, of 6 Carleston St., Brockton. He faces charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a person under 14 years old.

He is described as being 5’11, 200 pounds, with a light complexion. Police are warning that Leach is armed and dangerous.

The girl was shot in her home on North Montello Street around 8:30 p.m. and was transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
