Mankins, Gronkowski Listed As Questionable For Patriots-Bills; Edelman Out

FOXBORO (CBS) -- The Patriots may have to get creative in order to protect Tom Brady on Sunday in Buffalo.

After participating in practice all week, Rob Gronkowski surprisingly appeared on Friday's injury report with a hip injury. He's listed as questionable. Gronkowski participated fully in practice on Wednesday and Thursday but was limited on Friday.

Starting left guard Logan Mankins was listed as questionable in Friday's injury report due to a hip ailment that's kept him off the practice field all week. If he's unable to play, the Patriots would likely call upon the services of Donald Thomas to fill in on the offensive line.

The Patriots will also be without Julian Edelman, who was listed as out in the report. Edelman left Sunday night's game with a hand injury, though it was unclear from watching the game how exactly he suffered the injury. Aaron Hernandez, who was spotted in the locker room walking without a limp this week, has also been ruled out.

The Patriots also listed the following players as questionable: Brandon Deaderick (ankle), Alfonzo Dennard (hamstring), Justin Francis (ankle), Kyle Love (knee), Nick McDonald (shoulder), Sterling Moore (knee), Shane Vereen (foot) and Sebastian Vollmer (back).

For the Bills, both running backs (Fred Jackson, C.J. Spiller) were listed as questionable, receiver Ruvell Martin was listed as out and cornerback Leodis McKelvin was listed as probable.
