A 40 mm shell and a live grenade turned up inside a Yarmouth home on Thursday.
YARMOUTH (CBS) – A realtor cleaning out a Yarmouth home on Thursday discovered a live grenade and a World War II-era 40 millimeter cannon round inside the house.
Fire, police, and the State Police bomb squad were all called in to the home on Avery Road.
The homeowner had recently passed away and the house was being renovated.
The grenade was described as an old pineapple-style grenade.
Bomb techs took it to the dump where they blew it up.
No one was hurt.
