BOSTON (CBS) –  Five Patriots did not participate in practice on Wednesday, with wide receiver Julian Edelman among the missing.

Edelman, who has 10 receptions for 85 yards and one touchdown on the season, injured his left hand in Sunday night’s 31-30 loss to the Ravens. He left at the start of the third quarter and did not return.

Also absent from Wednesday’s practice was guard Logan Mankins. The All Pro lineman was added to the injury report last Thursday with a hip injury, but practiced on Friday and played Sunday night.

Defensive end Brandon Dederick, defensive tackle Justin Francis and tight end Aaron Hernandez were all absent due to ankle injuries.
