Truck Stuck In Storrow Drive Tunnel Stalls Inbound Rush Hour

BOSTON (CBS) – Rush hour traffic heading into the city was stalled for more than an hour Tuesday morning after a box truck ended up stuck inside the Copley Tunnel.

The truck was jammed between the roof and the road about 50 feet into the eastbound side of tunnel.

One lane of traffic was able to get by the scene, but vehicles were backed up past Harvard Stadium.

No one was hurt.

The truck had to be cut apart so it could be removed.

State Police say the driver will be cited, but the amount of the fine has not yet been determined.
