BROCKTON (CBS) – A driver survived a spectacular crash in Brockton Monday morning.
Police say the unidentified man was speeding down Belmont Street just after 8 a.m. in a pickup truck when he suffered a medical emergency and veered off the road.
The pickup went airborne and landed in the cab of another pickup that was parked in front of a home.
The violent impact of the crash pushed the vehicles into the triple decker.
Joe Doran was sitting at his kitchen table at the time of the crash.
“We were having coffee this morning and it was like an earthquake hit the house. (It) knocked pictures off the walls,” he told WBZ-TV.
“You expect an accident but not to see what we seen. The truck was like six feet up in the air.”
The driver told police he doesn’t have any recollection of the accident.
After he was freed from the wreckage, he was airlifted to a Boston hospital with serious injuries.
