Brandon Spikes Rips Replacement Officials After Patriots' Loss To Ravens

BOSTON (CBS) -- Anyone watching Sunday night's Patriots-Ravens game knows that the replacement officials were very, very bad.

Still, players and coaches, being "partners" with the NFL, aren't allowed to discuss the officiating situation in the NFL, as it would make the league look bad for locking out the real referees. So after the game, head coach Bill Belichick and several players refused to discuss the officials from Sunday's game.

But then Brandon Spikes went on Twitter.

The Patriots' linebacker showed his frustration with one tweet, simply stating, "Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr."

Spikes then expounded upon that sentiment.

"Can someone please tell these [expletive] zebras foot locker called and they're needed Back at work !!!! #BreakingPoint" Spikes tweeted to his 272,000-plus followers.

Spikes registered two solo tackles and four total tackles in Sunday's 31-30 loss to the Ravens, and he was also penalized for defensive holding, which wiped out a New England sack. Baltimore scored on the very next play.
