BOSTON (CBS) – A 63-year-old woman from Amesbury has died of EEE.

Charlene Manseau is the second person in Massachusetts this year to die after getting a bite from an infected mosquito.

Manseau, who also had cancer, was hospitalized on September 10 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston and diagnosed with EEE during her treatment.

Her family says the cancer treatment and her weakened immune system may have been factors in her death.
