BOSTON (CBS) – Johnny Pesky, the Red Sox legend who passed away at age 93 in August, was honored Sunday at Fenway Park.
The ceremony was held after the team faced off with the Baltimore Orioles in an afternoon game.
Fans were welcomed into the stadium after the game and given the opportunity to walk the warning track and see various display’s about Pesky’s life.
Past and present Red Sox players were in attendance, including Pedro Martinez, Jason Varitek and Carlton Fisk, many who of whom signed the Pesky Pole in right field.
