BOSTON (CBS) – Two days after their first debate of the campaign, Senator Scott Brown and Democratic challenger Elizabeth Warren cranked up the rhetoric and headed out Saturday to meet with voters.

Brown campaigned at an Alzheimer’s walk in Walpole before heading to South Boston and Dorchester.

On the campaign trail, he went after Warren’s character.

“She started with a negative ad. So I’m going to defend my record. But I’m also going to point out that she isn’t who she said she is,” Brown said. “When she’s made choices and had chances to side with the middle class and the little guy, she hasn’t done so. Yet, she’s accusing me of supporting all the big corporations. It’s her. And we’re going to draw that distinction and we’re going to point that out that she’s not who she says she is.”

Warren made appearances at Celebrate Holliston, and also visited Watertown and Boston.

She took the chance to go after Brown’s voting record.

“Scott Brown wants to talk about anything other than his voting record, because Scott Brown takes some good votes, but too much of the time, he votes for the millionaires, billionaires, big oil,” Warren said. “I don’t want to go to Washington to do that. I want to go to Washington to be there for working people. That’s what it’s all about for me.”
