STOUGHTON (CBS) – A State Police trooper was arrested after he was allegedly found sleeping in his personal car at a Wendy’s restaurant in Stoughton.

Police say 39-year-old Brian Simpkins had an open container of alcohol, was drunk and his car was running when they found him shortly after 2:00am Friday morning.

Simpkins has been relieved of his duty and a hearing will be held next week to determine his future status.

Simpkins had a previous OUI charge prior to being hired by the State Police.
