Police: Drunk Driver To Blame For Deadly Attleboro Crash

ATTLEBORO (CBS) - A family in Attleboro is devastated by the loss of a young mother killed in a head on crash by a driver police say was drunk.

Twenty four year old Kaisha Guerrini was heading south on Route 152 when police say the driver crossed the line and smashed into her car. "Raising a child and working, she had goals in her life and had everything taken away from her from someone being selfish," said Ann Lussier, the victim's aunt.

The tire tracks left on the road say it all about a sudden swerve in Guerrini's direction. The mother of a three year old boy, she joined the Massachusetts National Guard to help pay for her education, according to family members.

"It's very sad because my family was very worried about her getting deployed and losing her that way, and we lost her to a drunk driver," said Lussier.

The driver who was hospitalized is identified as 32-year-old Jason Kwolek of Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

Police are also investigating whether he hit another car and took off just prior to the deadly crash. Witnesses say he had been driving erratically putting other vehicles in danger. "I was screaming at the top of my lungs," said Jennifer Guerrero. "About ten times it got to the point where I thought he was going to slam into me going forty or fifty miles an hour."

Kwolek now faces several charges including motor vehicle homicide and driving under the influence.
