EAST BOSTON (CBS) – Boston police are investigating a home invasion in East Boston where two women were sexually assaulted.
Police say a man with a gun broke into a triple decker on Coleridge Street on Wednesday night and made his way to the third floor.
The two women in that apartment told police the man tried to rape them, and that he viciously beat one woman with his hand gun.
One woman managed to escape and call police. The suspect took off before officers arrived.
“I just heard screaming. I had a headset on. I thought it was coming over the headset,” neighbor Peter Salerno said.
Police aren’t saying whether the attack was random or if they’ve made any arrests.
