MIDDLEBORO (CBS) – One tree in Middleboro will not be decorated with lights this holiday season.
The Board of Selectmen voted to ban lights from a spruce tree, which was donated in memory of a World War I Medal of Honor veteran.
WBZ NewsRadio 1030′s Doug Cope reports
Last year, when organizers of the town’s Christmas festival decorated the tree, the man who donated it and veterans’ groups thought it was disrespectful.
The vote was 3-2 against the lights.
